The first Call of Duty games was one of my favorites as a child. Soon, Call of Duty 2 revolutionized WWII shooters. Call of Duty 3 was a failure (in my eyes) but then Call of Duty 4 perfected the shooting experience, being at the top of the list in the world. Call of Duty 5, many people are saying, have brought down the standards by bringing it back around to WWII.
How many more games do you think that the producers plan to make? I know COD7 is right around the corner, but ther're gonna have to stop somewhere (a sad day)

I don't have an accurate number, cause I'm sure no one does, but I think the best we can say is quite a few. Call of Duty 8 (Probably Modern Warfare 3) is most likely going to happen, well Call of Duty 7 is already in production, and will probably be ready for release in November 2010. But those are the two games, that I think are being worked on at the moment, for future installments, we'll have to wait and see.

A lot, I think. They'll probably do Desert Storm, maybe Korea, and a 4th Modern Warfare game. Then maybe an only zombies one and be done with CoD.

Does anyone know what war COD7 is about? ive heard WWII, Vietnam, everything really. But yeah I think they're gonna most likely do a Korean War, maybe 1 more WWII, 1 or 2 more Moderns, then I think it will finally be over. Its gonna be weird not having a new COD game coming out next year anymore.

I'm pretty sure they'll be making till the end of time, like EA Sports games (NFL, NHL) or Final Fantasy. It is going to be the god of shooters, not that it already isn't. :]

I hope so. If they run out of wars, they could just do a remake of a previous game with the new engine or just go back to WW2. I guess they could do WW1 as well.

I hope not, going farther back than WW2, I wouldn't like that, I'll rather it stay after WW2, but, I guess, if its neccessary, they can go back.

I think we may get lucky. Who can run out of ideas for a WAR GAME? But I bet sooner or later the earlier COD games, (1, 2, & 3 mainly) wont have any more people playing on them at all.

Yeah, I highly doubt they will run out of ideas, but if they did, they would have to go into futuristic games like you said above, although I'm hoping they don't get into that kind of stuff, and stay in modern day, or explore more of the past wars.

Lol! That would be funny, but really crazy. I wonder what the HMGs in that game would be...
